1. Introduction

AnyWhichway, LLC ("AnyWhichway", "we", "us", or "our"), a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Washington, USA, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you access or play word and puzzle games on FunBeyondWords™ (available at https://funbeyondwords.com/ and associated Progressive Web Applications).

2. Information We Collect and Store

We do not require account registration, passwords, email addresses, or phone numbers to play. Information processed on our platform includes:

A. Player Monikers & Game Sessions

• Random & Chosen Monikers: Players use fun, hyphenated monikers (such as daring-fox). Monikers are saved locally in your browser cookie (30-minute inactivity session or 24-hour claimed bridge) so you can resume active games.
• Moniker Logging: We log the monikers players use and store them on our servers together with gameplay records such as daily scores, streaks, and moniker claims.
• Public Leaderboards: Monikers are published on our daily leaderboards and are visible to other players.
• 48-Hour Leaderboard Retention: Daily leaderboards are deleted automatically 48 hours after their last update. We do not keep monthly or historical leaderboards. A small anti-camping record (a random identifier and the dates you placed in the top five, with no name) is deleted within 7 days.
• We Do Not Know Who You Are: We do not collect real names, email addresses, phone numbers, or postal addresses, and we have no way to link a moniker to any of them. Because of this, we do not know who our players are.
• Game State & Fun Credits: Game progress, daily puzzle streaks, and virtual Fun Credits (FC) are stored in your device's local storage (localStorage) to enable offline and instant play.

B. Peer-to-Peer Video, Audio & Chat

• Direct Peer-to-Peer (WebRTC): In multiplayer games with camera or voice enabled, audio and video streams flow directly between players' devices via encrypted peer-to-peer (WebRTC) channels.
• No Server Recordings: AnyWhichway does not record, transcribe, intercept, or centrally store your live audio or video communications. Signaling servers (hosted on Google Cloud / Firebase) are used solely to establish initial peer connections and transmit game moves.

C. Automated Device & Analytics Information (Google Analytics & Cloudflare Web Analytics)

We use both Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure platform performance, stability, and usage:

• Google Analytics (GA4): Analyzes anonymous platform usage (e.g., page views, games launched, solve completion times, and browser device type). Google Analytics uses cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and anonymized IP addresses to help us optimize game mechanics, fix bugs, and improve reliability.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics: Provides privacy-first, cookieless metrics and Core Web Vitals performance telemetry without using browser cookies, local storage, or tracking individual users across websites.

D. Advertising & Cookies (Google AdSense)

We partner with Google AdSense (Publisher ID: ca-pub-8906511857836556) to display advertisements on the platform. Google and its ad partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can customize or disable personalized advertising at any time using our Cookie Preferences dialog or by visiting Google Ad Settings.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

FunBeyondWords™ is a general-audience gaming platform directed to players aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect, request, or retain personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.

6. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA / CPRA)

Depending on your location, you may have legal rights regarding your data:

• Right to Know & Access: You may request information regarding any personal data we process. Players who claim a moniker or install the app have limited server-side records (moniker claim, Fun Credits wallet, and passkey or recovery data). Email [email protected] to request a copy of what we hold, or to ask any question about your data.
• Right to Deletion: In the app, open your Player Profile and choose Delete Account (Danger Zone). This erases your moniker claim, profile, Fun Credits wallet, passkeys, recovery code, entitlements (such as Club Pass, with no refund), likes, referrals, and anti-camping records, and your entries on live daily leaderboards become “Anonymous.” Guests can use Clear my data on this device, or clear their browser cookies and site data for funbeyondwords.com. We retain Stripe payment records (held by Stripe for financial and tax purposes) and device ban records (to prevent abuse) after deletion. You can also email [email protected] to request deletion.
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale / Sharing: We do not sell personal data for monetary consideration. For targeted advertising opt-outs, use our Cookie Preferences dialog or adjust your Google Ad Settings.
• Non-Discrimination: You will never be denied access or penalized for exercising your privacy rights.

7. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy and all matters arising out of or related to platform privacy are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
